✨ You may need to remove someone who was so excited to participate, that they signed up twice. ✨ This can be done at any time during the Gift Exchange.
How to Remove a Participant from an Elfster Gift Exchange
Click on Exchanges located in the menu bar
Select the Gift Exchange you are organizing
View the Guest List
Select the three stacked dots next to the name you're removing
Choose Remove
⚠️Removing someone before names are drawn will not affect any pairings.
⚠️Removing someone after names are drawn will affect the draw, but names will be automatically reassigned by Elfster.
When a participant is removed after names have been drawn, the person who drew them will be reassigned to the person that they originally drew.
For example: Blitzen drew Comet, and Comet drew Dasher. If Comet is removed from the Exchange, Blitzen will now draw Dasher. 🎁
We’ll email anyone whose draw changes. If you’d like to see who will be affected before removing someone, you can check who drew the participant first.
📝 Elfster will send an email to the participant(s) who were affected by the removal, but if this occurs once people are aware that names have been drawn, they may ignore the email.
You can send a message to them within Elfster or contact them personally to make sure they know their draw has changed. 📝
