When you add your most hoped for wishes to your Wishlist, your friends can present you with the perfect gift. Best of all, the magic of wishes is visible year-round, even when you aren't in a gift exchange!

Add an Elfster Wish link to an External Wishlist

Add a Wish From a Link
Do you have the URL to a webpage for something specific? Our techie elves have made it easy-peasy, and your gifters will love you for it!
To add a wish from any store link:
- Copy the full URL for the item.
- Go to Elfster and click on SHOP in the top menu.

- On a tablet/mobile, tap “Go Shopping” from your dashboard.
- You can also tap the round “+” or “Shop” button at the bottom right.
- Click the “write in a wish” text, under the Search bar.
- Paste the full URL (including the www. at the front) into the line that reads “Add your link from any store.”
- Wait for a few shakes of a snow globe for your wish to load. ❄️❄️❄️
- Don't forget to click "Save"!
To customize your new wish:
- Click on the three vertical dots to the right of your wish
- Click "edit"
- Upload or take a new image for your wish
- Edit the name of your wish
- Toggle “Most Wanted” if you want this wish at the top of your list
- Choose which Elfster Wishlist to move the new wish to.
- Leave a note (size, color, style, etc.)
- Adjust the quantity you desire
- Don't forget to click "Save"
Elf Tip: Clearing the fog - If the wish name says “Restricted” or “Access Denied,” it means the merchant is preventing the picture from being added. Don’t fret- we have a workaround that works as well as Rudolph’s red nose! Simply replace this text with your wish’s name, and the picture will revert to a merchant logo or a gray gift box. (You may upload your own image if you would like to!) Don’t forget to hit “Save.” Write in a Wish
Use this option to add any wish! This can be an idea, an experience, a photo for inspiration, or a unique item that cannot be found online.
This feature can add wishes like,
-A pair of knitted socks from my local Farmer's Market (size medium, and blue!)
-The silliest mug you can find.
To Add any wish, from any place:
- Copy the full URL for the item (if there is one).
- Go to Elfster and click on SHOP in the menu.
- On a tablet/mobile, tap “Go Shopping” from your dashboard.
- You can also tap the round “+” or “Shop” button at the bottom right.
- Click the “write in a wish” text, under the Search bar.
Almost done! Now to customize your wish:
- Add the URL if you have one
- Edit your wish’s name
- Toggle “Most Wanted” if you want this wish at the top of your list
- Select an image for your wish, or snap a pic while you’re out and about!
- Choose which Wishlist this wish belongs to.
- Leave a note (size, color, style, etc.)
- Want more than a few of these favorite things? Adjust the quantity!
- Don't forget to click "Save"!
Adding a Mobile App Wish
To Add a Link Using Your Phone and the Elfster iOS or Android App
Browsing the web and see something you'd love? The easiest way to add the link to your Wishlist is to use the share button on the website. Select Elfster from the app tray that opens (tap "more" if you don't see it). The link, name, and image will auto-populate in the wish modal. 
All you have to do is save!
All Your Wishlists in One Place!
✨Link wishes are perfect for adding Wishlists you may have created on other sites to your Elfster Wishlist. Simply copy the link from that site and paste it in the link wish field. When your friends click the link, they'll be taken to your other Wishlist.✨ .

- To Upload A Photo
- Open up the wish modal by selecting 'write in a wish' on the Shop page and snap a pic or upload an existing photo of that thing you'd love someone to gift you - just tap the camera icon — choose the best option and save your wish!
- To Write In A Wish
- Open up the wish modal by selecting 'write in a wish' on the Shop page to write what you'd like — no link required! Don't forget to save!

Search the Shop
Even the craftiest elf can be stumped on what to wish for, so we created a Search Bar that makes building your Wishlist easier than feasting on freshly baked cookies. 🍪

How to locate and use the Search Bar:
- Go to the Elfster homepage.
- Click “Shop” on the top menu. The search bar is near the top.
- On a tablet/mobile, tap “Go Shopping” from your dashboard.
- You can also tap the round “+” or “Shop” button at the bottom right.
- Enter an item into the Search bar!
- Click the “What are you wishing for?” area
- Type a search category.
- Tap the magnifying glass, or press your “enter” key.
- Click the “add to Wishlist” button once you find something you’d love to have!
- Toggle “Most Wanted” if you want this wish at the top of your list
- Choose which list this wish belongs to.
- Leave a note (size, color, style, etc.)
- Adjust the quantity you desire
- Don't forget to click "Save"!

Add an Elfster Link to an External Wishlist
Already have a Wishlist somewhere else? No problem! You can write in a wish that links your loved ones directly to the other list. Here are instructions for the most common Wishlist our users want to link.
How to copy a link to your Amazon wish list:
- Go to your Amazon Wish List page
- Select the "+ Invite” button under your wish list title
- Select “View Only”
- Select “Copy Link”
(Great job! You're almost done.)
How to paste the link as a wish:
- Go to Elfster
- Select “Shop” from the top menu
- Select “write in a wish”
- Paste your copied Amazon link into the "Add your link from any store" field
- Create a title like “Link to my Amazon Wish List”
- Select “save” to finish
- Do a happy dance! 💃
Add Wishes From Anywhere With Our "Elf It!" Chrome Extension.
Chrome users on a laptop or desktop have the option to add the Elf It! browser extension from the Chrome Shop. This gives you a helpful Elf Button in your browser that lets you easily add items to your Elfster Wishlist while browsing the web.✨
To use the Elf It! Extension:
- Install the Extension to your Chrome browser by clicking this link.
- Go to the webpage of any item you’d like to add to a Wishlist
- Click the Elf It! extension icon to the right of your address bar.
- Fill out the details for your wish.
- Click “Save!”
Organizing Multiple Wishlists
If you have multiple Wishlists, you'll also be able to select which Wishlist your wish should go on using the down arrow to the right of the Wishlist name.
If you are managing other accounts with our Family Manager, you’ll see and be able to add to their Wishlist on the drop-down menu also!
