What does the Activity Feed contain?

The Activity Feed keeps you in the loop! It lists everyone's wishes, the answers to their Secret Q&A questions, and Polls that the organizer creates.

Activity Feeds within a Gift Exchange

This Activity Feed only contains information about things that are happening within the Gift Exchange.  You may see Polls that the organizer has created, questions or posts that someone within the Gift Exchange has created, answers to Secret Q&A questions for people within the Gift Exchange, or wishes 💫 from people participating in the Gift Exchange.  You are able to "Like" 👍 and respond to items in the Activity Feed. Never fear, only Gift Exchange Participants are able to see the activity within the Exchange Activity Feed. This Activity Feed is not available in the iOS or Android apps, but is available on the website.

To view this Activity Feed:

1. Go to Exchanges
2. Select the Gift Exchange you'd like to view the activity for
3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and find "Exchange Feed"
4. Use the filter to view certain types of activity.
   
    

1. Go to your Exchange Feed 
2. Click Create a Post
3. Type your post and click/tap Post.  Select Post Anonymously if you'd like to keep it a secret! ✅

Activity Feeds within a Group

This Activity Feed only contains information about things that are happening within the Group, which can include activities within Gift Exchanges that the Group is participating in.  You may see Polls that the organizer has created, questions or posts that someone within the Group has created, answers to Secret Q&A questions for people within the Group, or wishes 💫 from people in the Group.  You may also see that someone in the Group is following a name that isn't in the Group.  This is a social part of Elfster.  You may want to follow that person too!   You are able to "Like" ❤️ and respond to items in the Activity Feed. Never fear, only Group Members are able to see the activity within the Group Activity Feed.  This Activity Feed is not available in the iOS or Android apps, but is available on the website.

To view and create a post in this Activity Feed:

  1. Go to Groups at the very bottom of the Elfster homepage

  2.  Select the Group you'd like to view the activity for

  3. Select

                ✨Use the filter to view certain types of activity.

  4.  Write a comment under the "Create a Post" heading to post a comment!

Latest Activity

This Activity Feed is a compilation of your Gift Exchange and Group Activity Feeds. This is the Activity Feed that appears in the iOS and Android apps.   Posts cannot be created in this activity feed. It also includes the wishes of people you may be following outside of any Groups you belong to or Gift Exchanges you are participating in and lets you know when people you know follow others.

To view this Activity Feed on laptop, desktop or our mobile apps:

1. Go to your Elfster homepage
2. Scroll down to "Latest Activity" 
3. Select "View All"
4. Filter activity for your preferred views

To view this Activity Feed on our mobile website:

1. Tap the hamburger menu in the top left
2. Select More
3. Select Activity
