Following others in an Active Gift Exchange:
When you draw someone in a Gift Exchange, you automatically "follow" their Wishlist and have the ability to mark items as purchased from it. You can choose to follow them after the Gift Exchange is over, by clicking "Follow" on their Wishlist.
If you'd like to follow someone other than the person you drew in the Gift Exchange, they will receive a notification that their Wishlist has a Secret Admirer. When they look at their Followers, they will see that Secret Elves are following them.
✨ Once the Gift Exchange has ended, your name will appear on their Followers list.
✨ Elfster never reveals who marks Wishes as purchased to anyone other than the person who marked the wish that they purchased it.
⚠️ Your friends may have multiple accounts. Be sure to follow the account that is participating in the Gift Exchange to remain anonymously following during this time.
Following others when there is no Gift Exchange:
When you follow someone when there is no Gift Exchange they will receive a notification that you are following them and your name will appear on their Followers list.
