Email notifications fall into several categories, with the option to opt in or out:

Get gift ideas and other fun suggestions for your birthday.
Get wish ideas and reminders to update your Wishlist.
Get reminded about your gift exchange anniversary.
Find out when someone likes or comments on your activity feed.
Friends You Follow on Elfster
Find out when your friends add items to their Wishlist.
Get notified when your friends have a birthday.
Get alerted when a friend's wished item drops in price.
Deals & Giveaways
Learn about gifts, giveaways, and good news.
Your Exchanges
You'll always get essential emails for any active exchanges you're in. You can choose a few more options for each exchange group.Stay updated on exchange discussions.
Get notified when participants in this exchange have birthdays.
⚠️By default, many of the boxes are toggled on when you create an account. Toggling off the boxes related to the items listed will ensure that you receive the right notifications.
On the Website Using Any Device:
To edit your notifications on any device, click or tap on your profile image in the upper right corner and select Settings, then select Email Notifications from the menu. Toggle the options on or off to customize the emails you will receive. Changes are saved automatically.

📝 Notes: Each Elfster Gift Exchange you belong to has its own email notification settings. You may want to receive discussion and birthday notifications for a family exchange you are a member of, but not for a larger online exchange. When you join a new exchange, you may need to customize the emails Elfster sends you again.
⚠️ A few emails related to an active gift exchange you are participating in are our way of letting you know what is going on in the gift exchange, so you can't opt out of those. This is so you don't miss important dates or notifications from your organizer.
